Job Description
Shorecrest Preparatory School announces the position of Director of Advancement available immediately. This is a 12-month full-time position that reports directly to the Headmaster and is a great opportunity to work in all areas of advancement. The ideal candidate must have advancement experience, knowledge of Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge, annual giving programs and strong communication skills. Duties and responsibilities include the following:

Annual Giving: Working to plan and execute our Annual Fund and Capital Campaigns for all members of the Shorecrest community.

Gift Processing: Responsible for timely and accurate gift entry and other data using Raiser’s edge software, assisting in the interface with the Business Office’s Financial Edge. Provide pledge reminders, campaign and cash flow reports monthly to the Administration and Campaign and Advancement Committees.

Reporting: Responsible for creating and producing customized queries; exports; mail merges; mailing lists; reports; and gift acknowledgments using various software programs.

We will consider an Interim Director for the 2009-2010 school year.

NOTES: International Candidates Will Be Considered.
Additional Salary Information: Shorecrest Preparatory uses a banding system which bases compensation on experience and educational acheivement as well as service to the School itself. The bands are commensurate with NAIS standards for the Southeast.


Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; significant work experience and understanding of Blackbaud/Raiser’s edge and other fundraising software. Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office tools. Excellent problem solver with keen attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to occasionally work outside the normal schedule to accommodate and support the Advancement Office including early morning meetings, evening engagements and occasional weekend obligations.
