Mid-Pacific Institute is seeking an experienced and talented leader for the position of High School Principal, beginning on July 1, 2010. Mid-Pacific Institute is an independent, co-educational, college-preparatory day school, serving 1,500 students in grades Pre-K - 12, with approximately 250 in grades Pre-K - 5, 420 in middle school and 840 in high school. Mid-Pacific Institute nurtures and challenges students to develop intellectual, emotional, artistic, spiritual and physical strengths to become compassionate and responsible lifelong learners and global citizens.
The High School Principal reports to the President of Mid-Pacific Institute.
The compensation package is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Requirements |

|
Successful candidates will possess an advanced degree in Education; significant experience as a High School Principal (independent school preferred); demonstrated leadership in curriculum and instruction; excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; a collaborative leadership style; capability of developing a departmental budget and fiscal management; experience in supervision and evaluation of staff; and commitment to the mission of the school and its leadership.
