Job Description
The Department is responsible for the music education of students in grades kindergarten through twelve. Courses taught by the Music Department include general music, band, choir orchestra, jazz band, music history, and music theory. Music teachers are responsible for the planning, implementation, and delivery of curriculum, as well as supervision of students both in and outside of the classroom.

Requirements
A full-time teacher teaches five classes with five preparations. The academic year is 178 days, and an average work week is 40 hours (more during weeks that include performances). Bachelor's degree in music or comparable field required; Master's degree preferred; teaching experience at the high school level preferred; basic computer skills such as use of word processing, e-mail, use of music notation software preferred.
