Job Description
Valley Forge Military Academy & College is seeking an Associate Dean of Enrollment Management.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Associate Dean is the lead recruitment and marketing officer for the institutions programs. This position works closely with other Admissions staff to ensure a successful recruitment plan, also works with the Director of Financial Aid and serves as a Primary Designated School Official.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, and oversee the implementation of an integrated marketing and recruitment plan for the middle school, day school, upper school and college.

• The Associate Dean and other Admissions staff share primary responsibility for ensuring VFMA&C participation in various off-campus recruiting events around the U.S. and the world.

• Participate in application evaluation and admission decisions.

• Serve with the Dean of Enrollment Management as a member of the senior Admissions management team, helping to shape the strategic direction of the office, developing long-range goals and policies and procedures for the office.

• The successful candidate must be capable of managing complex processes, supervising a staff of full and part-time employees, interacting positively with a diverse population, thinking creatively, and working independently.

• The ability to manage the image of the institutions programs and promote them using a full range of marketing and promotional techniques and strategies, including web/e-mail, publications, direct mail, and personal selling a must.

• Manage overall financial aid budget. Ensure the institution is in compliance with all federal and state financial aid guidelines. • Serve as Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) for I-20 process for International students.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Dean of Enrollment Management.


Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelors degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

• Five years of admissions, marketing, communications, and/or related experiences, required.

• At least one year of supervisory experience and experience developing and successfully implementing recruitment or marketing plans strongly preferred.

• Three-five years experience recruiting high school and college students required.

• Experience in financial aid desired, preferably at a high school or college.

• Knowledge of codes, regulations, insurance, policies and procedures regarding I-20 forms, student visa and etc.

Other/Special:

• Desirable personal qualities include: engaging, enthusiastic, flexible and good sense of humor. Evenings, weekends, and overnight travel (up to 60% travel from mid-August through mid-April will be required.)

• Must have outstanding written and oral communication skills.

• Must posses the ability to work well with others.

• Ability to organize logistical and operational challenges.

• Demonstrated knowledge of secondary and higher education markets and environments.
