Job Description
Greenwich Academy seeks an outstanding independent school leader to serve as Head of Upper School. The Head of Upper School is responsible for the day-to-day management of the division, the education and character development of the 330 students, Groups IX – XII, the supervision of fifty faculty members, close coordination with Brunswick School and communication with parents. Managing the academic schedule, reviewing curriculum with department chairs, and acting as spokesperson for the Upper School represent key duties. The Head of Upper School is responsible for maintaining the tone and balance for the division and is a member of the Senior Administrative Team.

The successful candidate will have upper school teaching and administrative experience, an advanced degree, excellent leadership and communication skills and unmistakable enthusiasm for working with adolescents. S/he will have vision, a sense of humor and will be, above all, an outstanding teacher.
