Job Description
Trinity School seeks candidates to serve as Associate Head of School, beginning July 2010.

The Associate Head is currently responsible for (1) oversight of the School’s K-12 academic curriculum, working with principals and department chairs to develop mission-driven curriculum and to ensure appropriate curricular consistency, continuity, coordination and coherence within and among different departments and divisions; (2) support, supervision, and evaluation of department chairs; (3) oversight of the faculty evaluation process to ensure that the established procedures are followed; (4) development and presentation of professional development initiatives aligned with divisional and school-wide goals; (5) direction of other projects and initiatives, as determined by the Head of School.

Reporting to the Head of School and serving as a member of the School’s Senior Staff, the Associate Head of School works with a full-time administrative assistant.

Candidates need to bring to the position teaching experience within the K-12 educational spectrum, significant administrative and management experience, as well as demonstrated ability in program and faculty development and evaluation. Familiarity with curricular mapping and with curricular and pedagogical practices across a broad range of grade levels would be advantageous.

Compensation will be competitive, and commensurate with experience and the New York City market. Other benefits include ample professional development funds; summer travel funds; health, dental, and life insurance; flexible spending accounts; generous retirement benefits that increase with longevity at the school.

Interested candidates should send a resume as well as a cover letter to employment@trinityschoolnyc.org
