St. Francis School is a co-ed, non-denominational Independent School founded in the Progressive tradition. Our campuses are in two locations -- Goshen (Preschool-8th Grade) and Downtown (High School). We are searching for a dynamic Spanish Teacher for the 2017-18 school year.
The ideal candidate for this position must be fluent in Spanish, have a master's degree, a minimum of five years as a classroom teacher, and understand the cultural heritage of Spanish-speaking nations in our world. Experience teaching in an Independent School is preferred. Understanding of the pedagogy and methods of foreign language instruction as well as differentiated instruction are critical. Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, the ability and desire to work collaboratively, and dedication to continuously developing and practicing cultural competence in one’s teaching are also essential. Additional responsibilities may include homeroom/advisor duties; the ability/willingness to coach academic or athletic teams is a plus.
