Walsingham Academy seeks a highly motivated professional to serve as the academy’s Director of Enrollment Management. The Director will provide oversight and strategic development for outreach, recruitment, admissions, enrollment management including retention and financial aid. This position will report to the academy’s President and serves as a member of the Administrative Team.
The Director collaborates with team members to develop and implement an annual marketing plan; to administer the Academy’s financial assistance program to optimize enrollment management; and to direct our strategic re-enrollment plan.
The Director will be responsible for long-term admission and enrollment goals developed through data-driven market analysis, targeted communications and the deliberate stewardship of prospective applicants and families through the application/admission process. The Director will be responsible for the thoughtful recruitment and enrollment strategies that will allow the Academy to continue to thrive.
The Director of Enrollment Management will join the Walsingham community at an exciting time as the Academy approaches its 75th Anniversary. The Academy is currently developing an ambitious strategic plan which will further establish Walsingham as the leading independent school in the greater Williamsburg.
The Director will serve as the point of integration in all areas of enrollment management. The Director will play a key role in articulating the enrollment management philosophy of the school and collaborate with the Administrative team in its proper execution. In addition the Director is responsible for the entire enrollment process; from inquiry through admission to assimilation into the school's culture, and retention of current families.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled relationship builder with excellent communication skills
Experience with data analysis and computer database proficiencies and strategic planning,
Ability to design and deliver effective enrollment management models
Collaborate on the design and deliver of effective marketing
Demonstrated ability of achieving enrollment goals
Establish and oversee a parent ambassador program
Commitment to on campus and off campus community engagement for the recruitment and retention of students.
Occasional evening and weekend are required
Professional development expected to stay current with market trends
Participation in professional networking strongly encouraged
At least three years of enrollment management experience preferably in an independent school setting; Bachelor’s degree; successful management experience and interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
