The Student Life office at Emma Willard School is seeking a full time Administrative Assistant to join their dynamic team. The Administrative Assistant supports all types of student life activities, with the position operating as the “front door” of the school to provide information, direction and other types of assistance as needed to students and their parents. This position is responsible for working with the Academic Dean and Dean of Students and Wellbeing to record and manage daily attendance. S/he also works with a variety of staff on student transportation and on-campus interviews for faculty applicants. This position will report to the Dean of Students and Wellbeing, and will work closely with others. S/he must be ready and able to multi-task on a daily basis.
Candidates must have outstanding interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. The candidate should also have extremely strong organizational skills and IT skills with the ability to pay attention to detail and logistics. S/he must be willing and able to change his/her plans in an instant and to embrace the lifestyle of working in a single-sex, multi-national, boarding school community. A passion for hard work, an active sense of community, and sense of humor are preferred.
