The Hun School of Princeton seeks an experienced and highly engaged Digital Communications Specialist to join our Communications and Marketing Office.
Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, the Specialist is responsible for the management of the School’s strategic digital marketing, electronic communications, and online presence.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Support the overall objectives of the Communications and Marketing Office;
Manage design, content, and functionality of The Hun School website and digital software platform, including galleries, news items, landing pages, forms, and calendars;
Help monitor trends and incorporate innovative techniques in area of digital marketing and media;
Create and optimize inbound marketing strategies;
Manage the School’s primary social media channels and supervise secondary channels. Work to reflect the daily life of the School and our key marketing messages through those channels;
Support integrated functionality between website and auxiliary software platforms;
Manage search engine optimization on behalf of the School;
Coordinate and implement ongoing audit of website content and make necessary and strategic updates;
Produce weekly parent e-newsletter;
Produce monthly news e-blast to all constituents;
Design and produce electronic materials published by the School;
Produce, analyze, and distribute digital analytics and reports;
Assist in the collection, editing, and production of annual Back to School resources for students and parents;
Serve as a backup photographer and/or videographer;
Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, which may be altered or redesigned as necessary.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required;
Experience in a digital marketing or communications role is required;
Experience with website publication and design is required;
Strong written and oral communication, editing and proofreading skills are required;
Graphic design expertise preferred;
Photography and/or video expertise preferred;
Experience in an independent school or college preferred;
A collaborative, trust-based work style;
Personal qualities including resilience, approachability, and kindness;
Ability to periodically work beyond and outside the typical workday in order to meet the needs of the Communications and Marketing Office and the School;
Must pass State of New Jersey Criminal Background check.

This Digital Communications Specialist position is full-time, twelve (12) months per year, exempt, and eligible for all benefits afforded to full-time Hun School employees. The working environment is an office and school environment on a hilly 45-acre campus in Princeton, New Jersey. The abilities to occasionally lift files and storage boxes, walk up and down stairs, attend meetings in varying locations throughout campus, and continually use computers and related office equipment are required. Not all buildings on campus have elevators. All employees must be fingerprinted and pass a full criminal history background check.
