Keys School, a K-8 of approximately 320 students, seeks an After School Assistant for the Lower School After School Program. Keys School offers a hands-on education with balanced concern for students’ academic, social, emotional, and physical growth.
Monday-Friday 2:00-6:00 PM.
Opportunity for additional hours and up to 40-hours per week during Professional Development, Conference Days, Holiday, and Summer Camps.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide a safe and healthy environment for children grades K-4.
Work with Lower School After Care Coordinator to plan and implement engaging age-appropriate activities for indoor spaces and outdoor playground.
Assist Lower School After Care Coordinator in coordinating field trips, After School Enrichment Classes and summer camp.
Create spreadsheets for attendance tracking, goal monitoring, After School Enrichment classes, and program budgets.
Works closely with extracurricular vendors.
Oversee homework and guide children as necessary.
Provide consistent and positive expectations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in education, child development or related field preferred, but not required.
Experience working with children in a school setting.
Certification in CPR and First Aid.
Flexible schedule required.
The ideal candidate must have a desire to work with children and parents, strong organizational and communication skills. He or she must be self-motivated, and dedicated to the mission of the school.
Salary: Non-exempt, hourly; varies on experience and qualifications
