The Director of Alumni and Parent Relations will assist the Advancement goals of Hebron Academy by developing and managing productive relationships with all alumni and parent constituents. The Director supports the implementation, administration and on-going development of events (national and on-campus), provides alumni and parent services and on-going information and communications.
This position reports to the Director of Advancement and External Relations
Alumni and Parent involvement in the life of Hebron Academy enriches and strengthens the school in countless ways. The goal for the person in this position is to provide exciting opportunities and services for Alumni and Parents to foster their involvement with Hebron Academy.
Duties and responsibilities:
First customer service response to all internal and external inquiries
Works with Advancement and External Relations staff to integrate the goals of outreach and involvement in the most effective and appropriate manner
Under the direction of the Director of Advancement is responsible for the planning, coordination and successful execution of on and off campus alumni and parent events
Maintains a coordinated events calendar that aligns with strategic advancement initiatives
Reviews and submits various alumni submissions for on-line or print publication
Researches and analyzes best practices in alumni and parent programs via online searches, reports results and makes recommendations for improved services
Tracks event participants and other relevant information with regards to alumni and parents
Monitors cost allocations; assists with developing and monitoring the Alumni and Parent Relations’ budget
Coordinates and provides logistical and administrative support for all programs and special events
Performs duties as assigned
A Bachelors’ Degree is required
2 – 5 years of relevant experience in an education environment is preferred
Marketing or event management experience is desirable
Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities, manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail are essential, along with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Database management experience is preferred
Proficiency using Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be a positive and enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to take the initiative, make decisions, resolve problems and work effectively in a team-oriented environment with students and all levels of staff and constituents
Travel, evening and weekend work related to special events is expected
