Green Trees is the early childhood division within Isidore Newman School. The school offers full-day and half-day programs for children ages six weeks to four-years-old from August through May, with summer camp options available in June and July. With a total enrollment of 154 children and supported by a talented team of forty educators, we strive to develop children's ability to think critically and creatively in a safe, stimulating and rigorous learning environment.

Substitute Teacher responsibilities include:
Assist teachers with activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practices and program philosophy.
Maintain a safe and healthy environment
Arrange classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy
Attend substitute teacher orientation.
Meet training obligations as required by Child Care licensing.
Meet all applicable licensing regulations for teaching in a Type II Center.
Complete daily cleaning responsibilities
Other duties as assigned
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent
Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
Coursework in early childhood education or child development preferred
Proven track record of caring and nurturing children
Proficient technical skills in basic word processing and computer operations
Must possess tact and sound judgment in communication skills meeting with staff and parents.
Must meet any and all federal, state and local requirements to work in an educational childcare setting.
Must commit to a flexible schedule between 7:30-5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
