MICDS (Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School) is seeking a dynamic and versatile instructor for its Upper School Science department faculty to teach 9th and 10th grade Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) with an emphasis on chemistry and biology and physics starting in the 2017-2018 academic year. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of teaching experience, strong STEM experience and hold a degree in science, masters preferred. An academic background and experience teaching with a variety of methods is critical and a collaborative spirit is required. Experience and willingness to work in a 1:1 tablet laptop environment is a must. In addition to serving as an advisor to 10-12 high school students, the position also includes additional community responsibilities such as coaching and/or club sponsorship.
