The Advancement Associate is charged with collaborating with Annual Giving, Parent Engagement, Alumni Engagement and Event staff in planning and executing cultivation and solicitation activities that educate and inspire our parent, grandparent, alumni, staff and community donors through their annual and campaign giving.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
With direction from the Director of Annual Giving, strategize, plan, manage, execute and track all direct response appeals and communication (bulk and in-house) including managing budget, segmentation, timelines and vendor relationships.
Direct mail appeals
Customized in-house Annual Giving solicitation appeals, such as anniversary renewal, Ivy Circle, etc.
Emailblast communications and solicitations through Blackbaud NetCommunity.
Annual Giving reunion appeals (in concert with Alumni Relations).
Collaborate with webmaster to execute online presence, to include online giving pages as well as Annual Giving content.
Support segment-focused cultivation and solicitation activities such as Senior Class Gift, employee giving campaign, Every Family Challenge, Young Alumni Challenge and LearningWorks.
Support volunteer solicitation efforts, including class representatives and parent and alumni committees.
Manage sustaining giving program.
Provide baseline reporting and analysis to key constituents and leadership.
Provide phone and other outreach to drive attendance at local and national cultivation events.
Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills, including MS Office tools, particularly Excel and Word
Ability to maintain confidentiality and good judgment while taking initiative
Ability to work under pressure, respond to last-minute requests and display a willingness to acquire new skills and take on new projects.
Knowledge of and comfort with online and social media platforms.
