The Latin School of Chicago is seeking a creative, organized individual to join our year-round team as the Latin 360° Associate Director. This position works closely with the Director of Latin 360° to develop, implement and oversee mission-based programming that occurs outside of the school day and in the summer. The Associate Director will provide leadership in creating a fun, safe environment for our students in our school-year extended day program. Extended day responsibilities include managing registration, hiring and training staff, and providing excellent customer service for participating families. The position also works closely with the Director of Latin 360° and part- and full-time staff in planning and facilitating our summer camps, summer courses, swim club, and learn to swim classes.
Ideal candidate has experience working with children in a recreation or play-based setting, planning and facilitating programs, and should enjoy engaging with teachers, families, and co- workers. Excellent communication and organizational skills, a familiarity with marketing and personnel training, and a sense of humor are a must.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree and significant working experience with children required. Strong skills in Excel, Google Drive, and experience or willingness to learn website management and database tools. Management or leadership experience in a team environment, positive attitude and growth mindset are vital.
