Wildwood School is a dynamic, urban, coed, college-preparatory, progressive day school in West Los Angeles. The school enrolls 750 students from kindergarten through 12th grade in three divisions on two campuses.
The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for greeting and welcoming all guests to the school.
Monitoring student traffic through the front office.
First telephone contact for outside calls and is responsible for directing all calls appropriately.
The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for coordination of all bus transportation for the middle and upper school campus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; Excel in particular.
Ability to be self-driven and multi-task in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Great attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
Maintains professional front office appearance.
Welcomes guests to the school, signs them in and distributes nametags.
Answers and routes all telephone calls received through the school’s main telephone line.
Directs guests to the appropriate location and announces their arrival as necessary.
Assists parents and students who enter office area.
Coordinates, receives and distributes interoffice mail on a daily basis
Manages the school postage machine, including the purchase of all postage and its installation.
Creates and manages the middle and upper school Medical Information Book annually
Administers, as appropriate, student medication and simple first aid.
Creates and maintains the middle and upper school Emergency Books annually.
Is responsible for checking in and out the Emergency Books for off campus field trips.
Is in charge of recording any student incident reports and distributing them as is appropriate.
Assists with filing, sorting, and distribution of narrative assessments
Assists with the transcription of student medical cards and communication with parents when records have not been submitted.
Assists with the annual summer mailing
Assumes responsibility for various special projects as instructed by the school directors.
Serves as Wildwood’s representative to the school’s contracted bus companies.
Provides appropriate supervision of bus drivers.
Reviews all transportation contracts and coordinates their approval by the school’s CFO.
Records and tracks student transportation registration forms.
Logs the daily bus attendance as it is recorded by the school bus drivers.
Communicates in writing, when necessary, with the contracted bus companies.
Trouble-shoots transportation problems as appropriate.
Coordinates buses for physical education program and for all student field trips.
Reviews bus routes annually and suggests new routes based on current student transportation needs.
