Walnut Hill School for the Arts, seeks a Per Diem Nurse to join their Health Services team. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Massachusetts RN with pediatric, emergency room, public health or other relevant nursing experience. Must be certified in First Aid and CPR/AED. Job responsibilities include first aid, assessment and treatment of illness and injury, medication administration, triage, emergency response, and electronic medical documentation. Must possess strong communication skills.
Provide direct care and case manage students with acute or chronic medical issues in collaboration with their parents, providers and other involved school personnel
Monitor medication administration and management
Other duties as assigned
Must be certified and maintain current certification in CPR.
Bachelor's in Nursing with current Massachusetts RN license
A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
School experience highly desired
Experience in adolescent health, pediatric medical and/or psychiatry preferred
Excellent communication, interpersonal, managerial, presentation and organizational skills
Proficient in basic computer skills and applications
Must complete a CORI check and SAFIS fingerprinting.
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
