Under the direction of the Admissions Director, the Associate Director of Admission will play a pivotal role in the day to day operations of the admissions office. The Associate Director will promote the school’s mission, image and core values to prospective families and the community.
The Admissions office at TVT Community Day School conveys the TVT message both internally and externally, to successfully enroll, educate, and unify a diverse community of students who will graduate and become agents of change in the world. The Associate Director works in partnership with the Director of Admission to achieve enrollment goals.
This role will ensure that the TVT Admissions Office is characterized by a warm, welcoming, professional, and organized manner for all visitors including faculty, staff, parents, students, prospective families, vendors, and the general public.
Essential Job Functions:
Serve as initial contact for the K-12 Office of Admissions (phone, in person, email)
Maintain a professional atmosphere in the main office; greet all visitors courteously, determine their needs and direct them to the appropriate person or office.
Maintain the admission database, keep statistics, and provide analytical reports on the admission and re-enrollment processes
Respond and manage the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment
Maintain admission calendar- schedule tours, shadow days and coordinate visits with teachers/administrators, etc.
Assist in planning and running community outreach and admissions events including but not limited to weekday tours, evening and Sunday open houses and interview days*
Work efficiently and effectively as an office administrator, with a strong work ethic and an ability to work well under the pressure of deadlines.
Assist in leading tours for prospective families
Assist in developing ambassador programs (students and parents)
Lead student ambassador program
Assist in developing feeder school relationships
Assist in preparation of admissions materials – inquiry packets, tour packets, admissions assessments, enrollment contracts
Assist in admissions mailings- assembly, preparation, etc.
Interface with current and prospective families as well as faculty and staff (in person, by phone, through email) in a timely manner
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree with two years of increasingly responsibility in admissions experience.
Timely, detailed and customer service orientated
Admissions Data Base experience including but not limited to Blackbaud and WhippleHill
Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary
Strong interpersonal/ customer relations skills to deal effectively using tact, patience and courtesy with visitors in person and on the phone
Sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Read handwritten documents and other records or reports.
Some light lifting and carrying.
Dexterity of hands and fingers.
Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person or on the telephone.
Seeing to read a variety of materials and monitor children.
Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally to retrieve and file materials.
Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching.
