The Montessori School of Winston-Salem seeks a Director of Admissions. This 12 month employee works closely with school leadership and the faculty to market the school to prospective and current families and is responsible for admission and enrollment efforts focused on attracting, enrolling, and retaining students. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Thoughtful and timely response to all admissions inquiries.
Communication to the Head of School of all admissions/enrollment issues facing the School.
Management of the annual marketing budget.
Management of advertising accounts.
Maintenance, completion, compilation, and review of all admissions materials and applications.
Maintenance of accurate records concerning inquiries, visits, applications, declines and admits,enrollment, and attrition.
Planning and execution of School Open Houses for prospective and new parents.
Collaboration with program directors and the Head of School on parent information sessions.
Admissions information sessions and school tours, including responsibility for the planning and execution of the weekly Prospective Parent School Tours session on Wednesday mornings.
Preparation of admissions and enrollment materials for signing.
Liaison with Faculty and staff and to parents regarding level and classroom placement.
Chairing the Admission Committee (Head of School and two program directors).
Selection, admission, denial, and placement of students in consultation with the Admissions Committee.
Management of student records.
Oversight of all content for the TMS website and social media presence.
The ideal candidate will have experience in independent school admissions, and possess excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills. In addition, proficient skills with word processing, database and presentation software, as well as use and management of social media, are a must.
Additional Salary Information: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
