The primary role of the Development Assistant is to support individuals and organizations participating in Educational Improvement Tax Credit Programs and/or the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Program.
Reporting to the Director of Institutional Advancement, the Development Assistant (part-time) will:
Develop and / or maintain expertise on EITC and OSTC funding guidelines and application processes
Develop relationships with state EITC and OTSC liaisons, maintaining an open line of communication for questions and program updates
Provide excellent support for existing and prospective EITC and OSTC participants.
Identify and reach out to prospective participants
Track and report on EITC and OSTC participants, applications and distributions
Prepare briefing materials and assist with meeting preparations for the Director of Institutional Advancement and the Head of School as appropriate
Coordinate broad-based and individual participant appreciation and stewardship efforts
Assist with additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Director of Institutional Advancement
Experience and/or ability to navigate legislative policies and follow fundraising procedures
Excellent sales and customer service skills
Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications
Able to work independently and efficiently manage multiple tasks
Conscientious and detail-oriented
Strong communication and analytical skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a professional work environment
Ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
Ability to adjust work schedule during peak periods of the year
