International School of Brooklyn, a language immersion and International Baccalaureate school, is looking for a native Spanish speaking Physical Education teacher to teach Physical Education in the Lower and Middle Schools.
ISB has an inquiry-based program that seeks to infuse students’ PE experience with exploration and inquiry. Teaching PE in the Lower School requires that the PE teacher work in close collaboration with classroom teachers to help develop and implement interdisciplinary projects.
Candidates should be native Spanish speakers, enjoy a collaborative work setting, and have experience putting in place an Physical Education environment that fosters individual creativity as well as one that teaches PE foundational skills.
Candidates should have at least two years of teaching experience in a school setting. At least two years experience teaching PE preferably in Spanish preferred. Candidates must also have native or near native level Spanish skills. Experience with the International Baccalaureate PYP and/or MYP programs an advantage.
