Boston University Academy is seeking a part-time visual arts teaching assistant for the 2017-2018 academic year. This is a one-year position. Responsibilities include assisting the visual arts teacher with lesson preparation, art instruction, evaluation; organizing studio materials; and photographing and creating displays of student art work.
Boston University Academy is as small, independent, co-educational day high school located on the Boston University campus. The mission of Boston University Academy is to educate talented students who are passionate about learning and who share the joy of inquiry. BU Academy students are motivated, bright, and engaged. Ninth and tenth grade students are required to take an arts course; juniors and seniors are able to take arts electives. Classes are small and discussion-based. Most students in the eleventh grade study three courses at BUA, and take two of their courses at Boston University.
