Stoneleigh-Burnham School, a private boarding and day school for 160 girls, grades 7-12/PG, in Greenfield, MA, seeks an Interim Director of Admissions with the option of applying for the permanent position to start July 1, 2018.

Job Description: Reporting to the Head of School, the Interim Director of Admissions will shape and implement the comprehensive strategy for the School's recruitment initiatives. He/She is responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the Admissions office and the planning, initiating, and directing of all admission activities.
The Interim Director of Admissions will work closely with other administrative departments of the School. Working with Admissions staff members, the Interim Director is committed to providing friendly, confidential and timely assistance to all families and facilitating a smooth application process for prospective students and families. The person in this position conducts essential on- and off-campus recruiting in support of the school’s enrollment plan. The candidate is also responsible for developing a variety of reports that will be useful in the decision-making process at the administrative and Board levels.
Essential Job Functions:
Manages all aspects of student enrollment and retention
Establishes, articulates, and executes admission policies and procedures
Determines the annual enrollment plan and leads his/her team to execute it, within the framework of current strategic goals
Oversees representation of SBS locally, regionally, and nationally in admissions-oriented associations
Works with the Director of Marketing and Communications on admissions print and online planning and messaging
Manages financial aid, in conjunction with the Director of Finance and Operations
Manages and evaluates Admissions staff and volunteers, including parent volunteers
Is responsible for the Admissions office budget
Prepares reports on admission-related data for the Board of Trustees, attends Board meetings as appropriate, and sits on the Enrollment Management Committee
Directs the Admissions Committee and serves on the Administrative Team
Serves in other capacities on behalf of the School, when needed
Reports to the Head of School
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in education, marketing, and or related field is required
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an academic setting, preferably in an independent school
Knowledge of advanced recruiting technology and strategies
Proven ability to lead and manage others successfully
Excellent organizational, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple projects with frequent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google suite
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, other professionals, staff, and the public
Appreciation of and the ability to market girls’ education
A sense of humor
All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
Compensation: Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
