St. Paul’s School for Girls is pleased to announce an opening for a Student Accounts Manager/Accounting Associate.
St. Paul’s School for Girls is an independent, all girls’ college-preparatory school enrolling over 420 students in grades five through twelve, founded in 1959, in the Episcopal tradition. St. Paul’s Plus, a division of St. Paul’s School for Girls, is an educational childhood program for ages six weeks through Pre-K. The successful candidate will serve as an advocate and advisor in assisting our constituencies with regards to their financial obligations to the school. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for recording and reconciling all cash receipts.
The successful candidate will:
Manage, oversee and reconcile all student accounts and work to minimize outstanding monies due to the school
Regularly bill families who owe money to SPSG for such things as tuition, auxiliary services programming, bus service, etc.
Coordinate with CFO and Director of Accounting Services/Director of Financial Aid to address delinquent student accounts, assessing them on a case-by-case basis and determining the appropriate course of action to be taken
Work with Director of Accounting Services/Director of Financial Aid to process financial aid grants for students and apply to their accounts
Work closely with the Admissions Office on enrollment processes including, but not limited to, distributing, recording and processing enrollment contracts and deposits and coordinating accounts and needs for B.E.S.T. families
Coordinate with St. Paul’s School students accounts office on joint families with outstanding balances and those families transitioning from SP to SPSG
Work with international students programming to coordinate accounts for exchange students and their host families
Post daily cash receipts for SPSG & St. Paul’s Plus, including credits cards and e-checks.
Post and reconcile payroll deductions for faculty/staff accounts with Director of Human Resources
Work with development office to reconcile all gifts received through their office ad ensure they are recorded properly
Provide information as it relates to our annual audit as requested by auditors or other members of business office staff
Record and reconcile endowment gifts on a monthly basis and send them to custodian of endowment accounts
3-5 years working in collections and/or account management required.
School experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communications, including sensitivity and confidentiality when talking with families and about financial account information.
Bachelor’s degree in finance or finance related field required with a master’s degree preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word and Excel.

Additional Salary Information: This position is a part time position (approximately 24 hours per week) and is a 12-month position. Salary is commensurate with experience. The successful candidate is eligible for a partial benefits package including 403(b), free lunch, dry cleaning service delivery and fitness center.
