The Advancement Associate provides administrative support for Oakwood's Annual Giving program and related activities including solicitations, cultivation, stewardship events, volunteer outreach and additional department duties such as maintaining the Advancement Office stationary supply and data entry.
Coordinates Annual Giving activities - volunteer recruitment and training; tracking progress toward goals and reporting; solicitation letter mail merges, and creating and editing letters and publications. Provides customer-service by responding to requests from parents, grandparents, vendors and faculty, administrators and staff via phone, email, and face-to-face. The Associate attends advancement-hosted events and other school activities.
Bachelor’s degree and 2 - 3+ years of general administrative experience in Advancement supporting fundraising and special events preferred. Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Windows office products - MS Word and Excel and the internet and experience with Raiser’s Edge fundraising database preferred. Excellent organizational skills including being able to prioritize multiple assignments with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
