We are seeking a part-time debate coach starting immediately. Responsibilities include running after school and/or X-Block practices for the Upper School team, traveling on weekends to local league tournaments, recruiting judges for tournaments, chaperoning and coordinating team travel to attend select Invitationals throughout the year, and conducting outreach and workshops for budding Middle School debaters.
Archer prioritizes the educational aspects of debate: research, social awareness, argumentation, rhetoric, sportsmanship, and ethics. Students are expected to write their own cases and to work in and outside of practice to prepare for each debate. Interested candidates should have experience in LD and Public Forum debate. While we are a competitive team, our focus is on preparing for local and regional tournaments.

The Archer School for Girls, located in West Los Angeles, CA (Brentwood) is an independent school that provides a highly collaborative, creative, and intellectual college preparatory program for girls in grades 6-12.
