Stephen Gaynor School is an independent, special education school for bright children with learning differences ages three to fourteen. We are currently seeking an experienced Full-Time Administrative Assistant.
About the position
The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Early Childhood program and other Directors to communicate with parents, , coordinate school events and activities, and oversee scheduling for various faculty and Directors.
Performs administrative duties for executive management. Responsibilities may include screening calls; managing calendars; making travel, meeting and event arrangements; preparing reports and financial data; training and supervising other support staff; ensure students do not leave their respective work areas; and customer relations.
Requires strong computer skills, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors. Sensitivity to confidential matters is required.
Associate's degree or higher
School experience, especially with younger children, strongly preferred
Minimum 2 years experience in an administrative position required
Extremely organized and experienced with heavy multi-tasking. Ability to work independently is very important.
Excellent front desk demeanor and experience communicating in a school setting.
Experience with Google apps and Microsoft Office required.
