The Learning Project’s Teacher Training Internship Program provides a rich opportunity for six beginning teachers to train directly with experienced mentor teachers and to develop their own teaching skills by working daily in the classroom. Interns have two different classroom placements over the course of the year and Interns meet weekly with their mentor teachers and also as a cohort in seminar with the Director of Academics to learn about teaching techniques and to discuss their classroom experience. Interns also supervise children in the After School Program.
Interns receive a medical benefit (90%) plus a $26,000 yearly stipend, paid monthly from September to June.
