Director of Counseling: The Director of Counseling develops, maintains, organizes and implements programs and classes which help foster adolescent development of HGP students. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years counseling in the high school setting or its equivalent. Certification in counseling with a master’s degree is preferred. The candidate’s primary focus is to work with existing programs and special initiatives to promote the social, emotional and academic development of college-bound young men. This person will also help us build out and further enhance a best practices approach for our social and emotional programs, as well as managing appropriate records for students.
The candidate will work closely with the Counseling Department and Principal in support of the students’ social and academic needs. Candidates should have a strong interest in working in a collaborative environment with highly motivated students and an experienced faculty. This is a full-time, twelve month position.
