Harrisburg Academy, an independent co-educational day school for students aged 3 through twelfth grade, seeks a computer science instructor to work with students in grades 8 and above for the 2017-18 school year. Depending on the qualifications, interest, and availability of the successful candidate, this position may be part- or full-time. This position will begin shortly after a candidate has been selected.
Of particular importance is knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java. Qualifications and interest in other subjects in mathematics and/or science would be beneficial. At a minimum, the successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a strongly related field and some teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level.
