Sewickley Academy, an outstanding Pre-kindergarten through Grade 12 coeducational independent day school twelve miles west and north of Pittsburgh, seeks a Director of Finance & Operations to provide strategic and day-to-day leadership broadly in the areas of finance, human resources, and facilities management. The Director directly supervises a staff of four, including the Director of Buildings & Grounds, the Accounting Manager, Payroll Accountant, and Transportation Coordinator; and indirectly supervises, via the Accounting Manager, individuals with the following responsibilities: Accounts Receivable & Bookstore, and Accounts Payable. Areas of responsibility include:

Safety and facilities
The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader who has, at minimum, a four-year degree in accounting or business. An advanced degree such as a MBA or CPA is preferable. A minimum of ten years of management experience, preferably at the senior level of an organization is required. Experience with a non-profit organization or a school is also preferable but not required.
This person must have strong communication, accounting, financial, investing, cash management, financing, technical, and computer skills. The ideal person for this position will be flexible and adaptable. Optimism and a sense of humor buttressed by a commitment to Sewickley Academy’s mission will be important.
