POSITION The Admissions Manager is a 12-month position that will participate in the recruitment efforts of CS. In collaboration with the Director of Admissions & Sun Valley Ski Academy Program Director, this person will drive enrollment process, procedures and communication with students, parents and sending organizations. This person will also collaborate with the Director of Admissions in admissions-related tasks, statistics and communications. This includes travel and recruitment activities, interviews with students and their families, telephone conversations, and written correspondence. The school seeks an experienced and inspirational Assistant Director of Admissions to begin on or before November 1, 2017.
Manage the application process and communications with prospective students and families;
Coordinate prospective student and family visit days;
Contribute to and help lead the strategic marketing efforts of the school;
Coordinate and help lead all recruitment efforts: advertising, open houses, and direct mailing, along with prospective family events that occur over peak resort community tourist dates;
Coordinate the collection and evaluation of all admissions materials, including testing (SSAT) and the Developmental Assessment/visit day of Kindergarten applicants;
Develop and strengthen school relationships through coordinated recruitment travel;
Maintain the Senior Systems enrollment database;
Participate as a member of the tuition assistance committee;
Facilitate the re-enrollment process and monitor attrition and retention activity;
Prepare, analyze, and maintain statistics relevant to admission and tuition assistance, and use them to help predict future market conditions;
Represent the school at various conferences, school fairs, and special events;
Maintain the admissions portion of the website.
QUALIFICATIONS Candidates who wish to be considered for this position should have:
Experience in independent school admissions or similar admissions work;
Knowledge of or experience with boarding schools or boarding school admissions;
Exemplary communication, collaborative, and organizational skills;
Expertise or a proven background in marketing, communications, or other related fields;
A strong work ethic and a willingness to initiate;
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities and deadlines;
A demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion;
A Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for an advanced degree;
A willingness to live in a small, vibrant resort community in the Rocky Mountains.
