This is a non-exempt, 40 hour per week position responsible for the maintenance and upkeep at Devon Preparatory School and monitoring of the school building and campus for the purposes of maintaining a clean, appealing and safe environment. Acting as a member of the maintenance team and reporting to the Director of Facilities, this staff person's duties include cleaning, sweeping, and wet-mopping classrooms and hallways, trash removal, cleaning and restocking restrooms daily, set up and removal of chairs and tables for meetings, repairs to the building, general lawn and planting bed maintenance, assisting parents with events, small snow and ice removal. At times, this position may be physically demanding and considered heavy strenuous work.
This person will proactively identify potential maintenance issues and report them to the Director of Facilities.
The candidate must be able to:
work with minimum supervision and high accountability;
maintain a current driver’s license and maintain a good driving record;
conduct him/herself with the highest of ethical standards and integrity, be of good moral character and maintain an even disposition;
be flexible with regard to the duties and responsibilities that best fit the current and future needs of Devon Prep
This position will require overtime availability including, but not limited to weekends.
