Under the supervision of the Dean of Students and the Director of Student Services, the Driver/Chaperone will be responsible for driving the company automobiles on school errands and taking students and other Walnut Hill School staff to their destination safely and efficiently. This position is Part Time - Flexible: Academic Year Position
Specific duties include:
Transporting students to and from appointments in the Natick, Boston and Metrowest areas.
Accompanying students to certain appointments, if requested by the Dean of Students or Director of Student Services. Some appointments are one way and some are round trip depending on student and other driver schedules.
Checking road conditions; estimating travel times. (allowing for extra time in inclement weather and clearing snow/ice ahead of traveltime)
Performs other errands, as requested. Possible delivery or pick up service needs may be performed.
Responsible for being familiar with road safety procedures.
Follows traffic rules while driving. Texting and personal phone use while driving is prohibited.
Other potential duties:
Prepares vehicle checking for maintenance needs; cleaning interior and exterior; arranging for maintenance; reporting operating problems.
Must have 5+ years of experience
Ability to read maps, navigation devices
Excellent interpersonal skills
Successful background check and MVR check
Must have a valid driver's license
