The advancement office at Emma Willard School is seeking a Senior Advancement Officer for Annual Giving to join their dynamic team. This position plays a role in securing the financial resources that allow Emma Willard School to advance its exemplary educational program. The senior advancement officer is responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing strategies directly related to the success and growth of Emma’s reunion giving program. In addition, s/he will manage a prospect pool of about 150 alumnae located throughout the United States and will travel approximately 35% of time to build relationships and secure critical support for the priorities of Emma Willard School.
The Senior Advancement Officer for Annual Giving position is the perfect role for anyone looking to hone solicitation, volunteer management, and strategic planning skillsets. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least three years’ prior relevant experience. S/he must have outstanding interpersonal and written and oral communication skills. The candidate should also have strong organizational skills, the ability to think strategically, and ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies, including alumnae, parents, students, faculty, staff, and trustees. S/he must have the ability to travel on behalf of the school and be available for weekend and evening events throughout the year. A sense of humor and an appreciation for independent school education for girls are preferred.
