International School of Brooklyn (ISB) is an independent, non-profit school that is known for its innovative and robust Nursery–8th Grade French and Spanish language immersion program and International Baccalaureate curriculum. The ISB learning experience is driven by six core values: inquiry-based learning, diversity, global curriculum, language immersion, community, and international mindedness. The School Nurse reports to the Director of Lower School and works with all constituents – students, parents, and teachers - in the International School of Brooklyn community in support of the school’s mission. The School Nurse is responsible for supporting the needs of the students, primarily with regards to medication administration, first aid and general health and wellness.
The School Nurse is also responsible for managing student medical records in the school’s database.
This is a part-time position with the potential to grow to full-time in the future. The preferred schedule is Monday - Friday, 10-2 but flexible.
Requirements: Registered Nurse, at least 2 years professional experience (preferably in a school setting), CPR card, NYS RN license.
