The Agnes Irwin School's Mathematics Department seeks an experienced, dynamic, and creative Mathematics Long-Term Substitute to teach Upper School Math from early January 2018 through the end of the 2017-2018 academic year. Candidates should possess a passion for teaching and enjoy working in an academic environment with colleagues who value collaboration as well as independence. Successful candidates will have a proven record of teaching math to upper school students, engaging students in class, managing a classroom in an effective and safe manner, and inspiring a love of learning.
Successful applicants must possess: • Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree preferred • Demonstrated experience teaching Upper School Mathematics • Proficiency in the use of classroom technology: graphing calculators, interactive whiteboard, various computer applications • Proven ability to engage students in meaningful classroom activities • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
