POSITION OBJECTIVE: Major responsibility of the position is to plan and implement Parish Summer programming.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Create the schedule and oversee the curriculum for Parish Summer, which includes academic, athletic, extracurricular and other activities that support Parish’s mission.
Provide an appropriately safe, caring, and enriching environment for all participants.
Establish routines, provide positive guidance, develop and enforce policies and procedures, including disciplinary policies, in accordance with Parish’s stated values.
Provide ongoing supervision and support of all faculty and staff of the summer program.
Develop and oversee all safety and health protocols in coordination with school risk management plan.
Assess, enhance, and expand summer program offerings. Work collaboratively with Auxiliary team to identify new program ideas and areas for improvement within existing programs.
Collaborate with school leadership, administration, and faculty to ensure all summer programs align with the school’s goals, mission and philosophy.
Ensure that campers’ families receive curricular updates each week so that content and activities are known by consumers.
Annually seek and analyze input from campers, families and staff regarding the quality of their program experience.
Seek to identify partnerships that may enhance summer program potential.
Monitor revenues and expenses in accordance with budgetary restrictions for bottom line performance across all programs.
Work with individual coaches and teachers to ensure profitability of their programs.
Establish appropriate compensation for all summer program employees in coordination with Director of Auxiliary Programs.
Work with Creative Director of Parish Summer and Extend to provide information by specified due date needed to create marketing pieces such as catalogs and other items as necessary.
Work with Creative Director of Parish Summer and Extend to promote programs, including attendance at events and fairs.
Work with Parish Summer and EXTEND Coordinator to provide information by specified due dates as needed to implement registration for courses and facilitate HR onboarding.
Assess enrollment with team prior to start of sessions and ensure parent communication and class cancellation decisions are made and communicated on a timely basis. Assess waitlist campers on a timely basis throughout the summer.
Serve as primary recruiter to all programs.
Work with admissions department to identify and follow up with campers with strong potential to convert to Parish students.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive database of summer programming offerings and instructors.
Prepare reports for and communicate with team and school leadership to ensure awareness of summer program performance.
Recruit, hire, train and supervise all summer program employees.
Conduct annual performance evaluation of all summer programs coaches, teachers and staff.

QUALIFYING CHARACTERISTICS: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation and computer skills, including Microsoft products and Google suite tools. Experience with reservation database is considered beneficial but not required. Ability to multi-task and to learn and adapt quickly is critical. Customer service orientated focus is essential to success. Bachelor’s degree and three to five years of experience in similar position required. Educational experience is preferred. A team player with strong interpersonal skills to productively and professionally communicate with the entire school community and wide variety of school constituents is essential.
