Under general supervision, the Payroll Accountant is responsible for administering biweekly and monthly payrolls through ADP, our outside payroll provider, distributing checks and direct deposit statements, reconciling and reviewing taxes, reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts and quarterly and year-end processes. This includes responsibility for the Payroll, Time and Attendance, G/L Interface and iReports administrator roles. Maintain payroll files and furnish payroll information as required to internal and external sources. Reconcile and review annual W-2 forms for all employees.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and in the use of personal computers is required, including ability to enter new data into established files, add and edit data in existing records and modify and reformat reports when necessary. General clerical work is a normal part of duties.

Ability to communicate effectively and courteously both verbally and in writing.
Confidentiality is essential. Knowledge of business math, general accounting, personnel and payroll functions. Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding garnishments, deferred compensation plans, moving and living expenses, pretax deductions, etc. Proficiency in the use of Unit4 software would be helpful but not required. Accuracy and attention to detail.
