Job Title: UPPER SCHOOL SPANISH TEACHER

Reports to: Head of Upper School
Native or near native language proficiency in Spanish
Deep and thorough knowledge of the subject matter, including literature and culture
Experience teaching Spanish classes in the target language
Proficiency with instructional technology
A. in Spanish or higher preferred
Duties & Responsibilities
Teach 4 sections of Spanish classes
Co-teach a 3-week immersive, interdisciplinary class during Jan Term
Work directly with 13 other Upper School language teachers as part of a language PLC
Advise students as part of the Upper School Advisory Program
Contribute to the larger school community through coaching or sponsoring other extracurricular programs
In addition to experience and a strong educational background, successful candidates demonstrate a love of working with children, an engaging teaching style, the ability to interact well with parents and colleagues, and a willingness to create and promote an inclusive learning environment.
Ability to engage in moderately strenuous physical activity both indoors and out; sitting and standing for long periods of time; ability to become CPR and First Aid Certified.
