Candidates must teach students how to use primary source documents, distinguish between fact and opinion, appreciate perspective and point of view, collect and use evidence, and craft effective analytical pieces. Candidates must have a history background with preference to those who have classroom experience and with case studies and/or simulations. This position will require teaching three sections of Human Geography (11th and 12th grade) and the ideal candidate will have the ability to teach throughout the history curriculum.

Lawrence Academy, serving almost 400 students in Groton, Massachusetts, is a residential and day school, and faculty are fully involved in the curricular, co-curricular (primarily athletics), and extracurricular programs at the school. Interested candidates should expect to live in a dormitory, but on-campus (non-dorm) or off-campus housing might be an available alternative. All members of the faculty are part of our residential program and have regular weeknight duties and some weekend duties.
