St. Paul Academy and Summit School seeks candidates for two long-term leave replacement positions in Middle School Science. The part time (.60 FTE) position begins approximately February 19, 2018 and concludes around May 11, 2018. The second position is full time and begins January 3, 2018 and concluded June 8, 2018. Candidates should bring experience teaching and engaging middle school students across all foundational science content areas, including Life Science, Earth Science and Physical Science in addition to a strong academic background in these fields.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to create developmentally appropriate curricula, establish a supportive and engaging classroom environment for students, and work collaboratively with colleagues and parents/guardians. Successful candidates will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, candidates should be able to advise students effectively and otherwise contribute to the life of the school outside the classroom. Training and experience in Developmental Designs for Middle School preferred. Candidates should support the mission of SPA and the vision of the Middle School.
