The Palm Valley School is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified candidate for our Director of Enrollment Management role. The Director of Enrollment Management reports directly to the Head of School. A 12-month employee, and a member of the Administrative Leadership team at Palm Valley School, the Director of Enrollment Management works in collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Communications on the marketing needs for recruitment and retention. Additionally, this position works with the CFO and Head of School to form the Tuition Assistance committee in making awards to qualified applicant families.
The Director of Enrollment Management is responsible for all efforts and events related to the recruitment, assessment, admissions, enrollment, and retention processes and efforts for students and families. Qualified Candidates for this role will have experience in Admissions with Independent Schools and understand best practices in the industry to meet enrollment targets annually. Other experience in Education, Marketing, Sales and/or Development are also desired areas of expertise and knowledge.
In partnership with the Director of Marketing and Communications, assure that all marketing and communications materials related to enrollment management aligns with messaging and meets goals of attracting, enrolling, and retaining qualified students for all school levels. Track efficacy of marketing efforts through inquiries and conversions of applications and enrollments.
In consultation with the Head of School to create, maintain, and implement a Strategic Plan for Admissions and Retention efforts to ensure that the Admissions office and overall enrollment is meeting annual budgeting targets.
Schedule, plan, and execute on-campus and off-campus admissions and retention events such as Open Houses, tours, New Families events, information sessions, parent coffees, move up days, school fairs, school visits, and other enrollment management related events as needed and/or directed.
Track, follow, and encourage families throughout the admissions process from recruitment and inquiry to application and enrollment. Collect and log appropriate information and statistics to identify trends, and use data for reflection, reporting, and decision making purposes. Enter student records, and all other related information into the Sr. System’s Admissions module.
Maintain an effective and consistent process of communication with all prospective and new families – inquiries, applicants, and enrolled students – to build strong relationships that continue throughout the admission process and into the school year of attendance.
Ensure the quality and integrity of the student assessment and admissions process and work collaboratively with all Division Heads to ensure that only appropriately qualified student candidates are accepted and that the school is fully informed of and able to meet the needs of any students considered for admissions.
Schedule and execute all tours, interviews, testing/assessments, and meetings with other Administrators (Division Heads, Head of School, and CFO/Business Manager) for students and families, as needed, throughout the Admissions process.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and scheduling of both Parent and Student Ambassadors for tours, events, etc. as needed.
Be present at, assist with, and represent the Admissions office at various School and Fundraising events throughout the year as directed by the Head of School.
Collaborate and communicate with all constituencies of Palm Valley School and the larger community for efforts in recruitment, enrollment, and retention of students.
Travel (periodically) to recruit prospective international students, and complete follow-up communications with any prospective students, families, consultants and agents.
Conduct exit interviews with all departing families to collect information about their departure to assist with improving aspects of our school and/or understanding any and all attrition that occurs.
Attend professional development conferences, workshops, and meetings in consultation with and as Directed by the Head of School
Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Preferred
Exemplary “people skills” with a friendly, positive, engaging demeanor.
Excellent written, oral, and organizational skills.
A proactive communicator who can utilize both big picture thinking and a keen focus on details when needed/as appropriate
Experience with various types of business software including Google Docs
Experience with Sr. Systems or other Admissions or database management
