The Business Services Office at Emma Willard School is seeking a part-time Student Billing Coordinator to join their dynamic team. This hourly position serves as the primary contact at Smart Tuition, the School's third-party student biller and payment processor, ensuring student tuition and spending accounts are current and reflect all appropriate charges and payments received. S/he will actively monitor student account balances and encourage prompt payment from parents, working with families to facilitate alternate payment arrangements that meet the family's ability to pay and the needs of the School. S/he will assist with the annual student re-enrollment process, including monitoring and recording submitted and outstanding enrollment contracts and advance deposit payments and performing outreach to families when necessary to secure enrollment for the upcomig year.
Candidates must have an associate’s degree in accounting or related discipline and minimum of two years of relevant experience, preferably with collections experience. S/he must have good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. The candidate should also have the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as a part of the business services team and be able to prioritize responsibilities. S/he must also be proficient with the use of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office environment.
