The Database Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the Washington Jesuit Academy’s fundraising software, Raiser’s Edge, to effectively capture donor information and generate accurate financial and analytical reports. S/he will manage the gift donation process, including the receipt of gifts, logging, reporting, and acknowledgement and depositing of donations. Responsible for the gift acknowledgement process by preparing and mailing customized and standard letters. S/he will work in partnership with the development and finance team to prepare monthly reports to leadership and Board of Directors.
The Database Manager reports to the Chief Advancement Officer and works closely with other staff and faculty.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide maintenance and support of the Washington Jesuit Academy’s Raiser’s Edge database, including but not limited to:
Ensuring data integrity
Updating and inputting all constituent data
Entering gifts and pledges
Monitoring and generating pledge reminders
Importing, exporting and extracting data
Developing and implementing policies to guide data entry
Segmenting data to meet parameters of various mailings
Preparing detailed reports
Constructing queries, reports and exports
Performing analytics on constituent mailings, giving patterns, etc.
Monitor prospect tracking and activity
Initiates and manages departmental policies and procedures for the Raiser’s Edge system software and gift processing
Perform prospect research, including but not limited to:
Running daily screenings and managing download results
Generating individual reports through Wealth Engine, BlackBaud Analytics and/or other similar databases
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience
Strong written and oral communication
Ability to work occasional nights and weekends as required
Occasional travel outside of the office
Excellent organizational and planning skills
