All de Paul classroom teachers teach Language Arts, with an emphasis on substantially improving reading and writing skills in students with dyslexia, ADHD and other learning differences. In addition to Language Arts, teachers either generalize or specialize in other subject areas, depending upon the school's needs.
In addition to instructional duties (evaluating, planning, teaching), responsibilities include working closely with families, collaborating daily with colleagues, and promoting public awareness of our school and the needs of students with learning differences.
We provide extensive training and mentoring in our unique curriculum and pedagogy. We seek candidates who already have a solid foundation in instructional skills, rapport building, and professionalism. Qualifications include:
Superlative teaching skills
Knowledge and/or experience in best instructional practices for students with LD
Positive and enthusiastic attitude
Openness to continual learning and professional growth
Commitment to dignifying students
Strong communication and collaboration skills
2-3 years of teaching experience preferred

The de Paul School teaches students with learning differences how to learn, how to be independent and how to be successful. Grades K-8. Approximately 210 students with 25 teachers.
