Choate Rosemary Hall seeks a full-time Visual Arts teacher with a start date of August 2018. The successful candidate will be a practicing artist, equally comfortable with technology and traditional tools; with an expertise in a variety of media; capable of teaching all levels of experience and a wide range of classes, preferably including, but not limited to: mixed media, ceramics, sculpture (metals and other), jewelry, fiber arts, drawing. The ability to teach foundational concepts in color theory and design as well as facilitate students' conceptual development and ability to articulate ideas is essential.
Applicants must be dynamic individuals who are passionate about their discipline, collaborative and innovative in their approach to teaching, and who embrace and support the diversity of our student body. Our faculty is deeply committed to the entire student experience; it is expected that faculty responsibilities will include a combination of student advising, residential life, and extracurricular activities.
