AISNE believes in the critical role that accreditation plays in strengthening schools and shaping education. For more than 30 years, AISNE has been accrediting our member K-8 schools and supporting them as they fulfill their missions.
AISNE is looking for its next leader of accreditation. The successful candidate will be passionate about the changing education landscape, knowledgeable about independent schools and familiar with accreditation processes.
Manage the schedule of decennial and interim accreditation visits and reports.
Develop visiting teams and maintain database of nominees for visiting teams.
Serve as lead staff person for AISNE’s Membership Committee: recruit members, prepare meeting agendas, partner with chairperson, conduct appropriate follow-up.
Design and conduct training sessions for self-study coordinators, visiting team chairs, and visiting team members.
Provide on-site or virtual accreditation orientations for school faculty, staff, and/or board as requested.
Conduct initial, five-year, pre-accreditation, and provisional school visits and one-year phone calls as necessary.
Provide ongoing support to schools and visiting teams throughout all stages of the accreditation process.
Review AISNE accreditation process, standards, manual, and handbooks on an ongoing basis.
Build and maintain relationships with peer accreditation leaders across the country to stay abreast of trends and challenges.
Serve as an ambassador for AISNE and its programs.
A successful candidate will possess:
A minimum of seven years’ experience in education, preferably independent education.
Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
High energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to lead at a strategic and tactical level.
Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, including staff, board members, program participants, and others.
