Crystal Springs Uplands School, a co-educational independent day school in Hillsborough, California serving students in grades 6-12 on two campuses is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, dynamic, and collaborative teacher for a full-time, permanent position.
The School is in the process of growing, and we anticipate openings in either the Middle or Upper divisions.
We are looking for candidates who
Love working with pre-teens and teenagers
Possess demonstrated success/effectiveness with adolescents
Are able to differentiate and teach to multiple learning styles
Have a sense of playfulness and are eager to collaborate with a colleagues
Have experience with meaningful technology integration for this generation of learners
See connections between disciplines for cross-curricular lessons
Are excited to work with students outside of the classroom by leading an advisory
Have sponsored clubs, coached a sport and/or lead local/international trips
Incorporate teaching practices and curriculum development, which are developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive and competent
We are also looking for teachers who
Have an undergraduate degree in Spanish, Education or a related discipline
Have at least 3 years of teaching experience
Are fluent in Spanish
Apply the Communicative approach to language teaching
Appreciate cultural fluency and integrate it into the classroom
Are open to learning new technology based language tools.
Have demonstrated experience with hands-on, project-based learning
Will organize and lead an international trip to a Spanish speaking country
